  2. For established leaders: To enhance the effectiveness and strategic insight of those already in managerial roles.

This academic qualification is designed for professional development and does not lead to a warranted or regulated profession.

  • Entry Requirements

    To be eligible to Study in Malta for this master's programme, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

    1. Academic Qualification:

    • A Bachelor's degree at MQF Level 6 or an equivalent qualification.

    OR

    2. Professional Experience Pathway:

    • Applicants without a Bachelor's degree must be at least 25 years of age and provide documented evidence of a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience. This experience must demonstrate a level of leadership and responsibility equivalent to an undergraduate education.

    AND

    3. English Language Proficiency:

    • All applicants must be proficient in the English language.

    • Non-native English speakers are required to submit results from an internationally recognised test, such as an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.

    Please note: These are minimum requirements. The admissions committee holistically reviews each application, considering academic achievements, professional experience, and other relevant merits.

    Skills & Competences:

    • Apply advanced critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to complex business situations.

    • Synthesise information and utilise qualitative/quantitative analysis for effective, evidence-based decision-making.

    • Exhibit professional management and leadership skills, including effective team communication and cross-cultural management.

    • Source, assess, and analyse information through the effective use of technology.

    • Navigate global management issues, such as cultural differences and international business etiquette.


    Assessment Methods

    Our assessment strategy is designed to ensure students comprehensively achieve the learning outcomes through a blend of evaluative methods.

    Summative Assessments measure academic achievement and include:

    • Examinations

    • Written Assignments (e.g., essays, reports)

    • Case Study Analyses

    • Individual and Group Presentations

    Formative Assessments are used for continuous development and include:

    • Reflective Journals: Submitted in key modules to develop critical self-evaluation and reflective practice.

    • Practical Observation: For modules with a practical component, such as placements, to assess the application of skills in a real-world context.

  • After successful completion of 60 ECTS, students can also opt to exit from the MBA programme and be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (MQF Level 7 - 60 ECTS). An Exit Fee (please refer to our Payments and Refund Policy Page for exit fees information) is applicable for any candidate who wishes to exit earlier from this course and obtain the exit award. The exit award fee is not applicable if a candidate withdraws from this course and is not awarded with an exit award. A letter of completion, listing any modules successfully completed, together with an unofficial transcript (confirming that the course was not successfully completed) will be given to such candidate.
